Iris Pessey sets a new women’s record for the ascent of Mont-Blanc.
It took Iris Pessey 5 hours and 2 minutes to climb from Chamonix' Church to the summit of Mont-Blanc, beating the previous record by 12 minutes.
An adventure that didn't stop at the summit
After more than two years of preparation, Therm-IC athlete Iris Pessey impressed the mountaineering and trail running communities by setting this new record. But for her, the adventure didn’t end at the summit. After reaching the top, Iris flew back down by paraglider, completing the entire journey in a total time of 5 hours and 34 minutes.
Not only did she set a new record for reaching the summit, but she also established a new benchmark for the hike-and-fly route on this course.
Le deuxième record du printemps sur le Mont-Blanc
In less than two months, two Therm-IC athletes have set new records from Chamonix.
Last April, Mathéo Jacquemoud also made headlines by completing the round trip in 4 hours, 41 minutes and 24 seconds, alongside Samuel Equy.
Just like Mathéo, Iris was also wearing our new Outdour Light Crew socks.
We are very proud that athletes trust our products for performances like these, where every detail matters.
Congratulations Iris for this impressive achievement !
