Mathéo Jacquemoud establishes a new record.. on Mont Blanc this time.

Matheo et Samuel

This Saturday, Mathéo Jacquemoud and Samuel Equy established a new record : 04:41:24 to complete the round trip between the church of Chamonix and the summit of Mont Blanc (4,806 m) on skis.

A lover of large-scale adventures, the two-time ski mountaineering world champion and Therm-ic athlete Mathéo Jacquemoud has been going from one extraordinary adventure to the next.

He started the year with his project “L’Intégrale des Alpes”, aiming to cross the entire Alpine arc on skis, from Vienna to Nice, without motorized assistance and completing the transitions by bike. In total, it took him twenty days to cross four countries and nineteen mountain ranges.

Following this crossing, he waited only a few days before linking Chamonix to Zermatt via the Haute-Route in 13:27:49, breaking the previous record by nearly an hour and a half, which was held by Benjamin Védrines and Samuel Equy.

Three weeks later, alongside the latter, he set off for a race against the clock: the round trip from Chamonix to the summit of Mont Blanc.

On Saturday, April 25 at 6:56 a.m., the duo set off. Their objective: to break the record set on May 31, 2025, of 4:43:24 by Italian athlete William Boffelli.

According to both men, the Jonction, the first stage of the route, was particularly challenging this year, with numerous crevasses in particular. Samuel and Mathéo nevertheless reached the summit in 3:41 and 3:42, before descending in 1:00:40, despite a serac fall that further slowed both skiers.

Despite everything, the two men completed this round trip in 4:41:24, two minutes faster than the previous record.

For this new record, Mathéo Jacquemoud was wearing the new Navy Outdoor Light Crew socks.
