The trail season is in full swing
The trail running season is underway, and once again this year, we’re right at the heart of the races, alongside the athletes. On site, our teams are showcasing our range of solutions, highlighting the importance of foot care and choosing the right products to meet every runner’s needs.
La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB®
Nestled in the Dolomites, this iconic race is renowned for its demanding 120 km course and 5,800 metres of elevation gain, beginning with a nighttime start from Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Among our athletes, Andreas Reiterer secured an impressive joint second-place finish in the 120 km race, crossing the line in 11:55:26 alongside fellow Italian, Tobias Geiser.
Western States Endurance Run
Officially established in 1977, the world’s oldest 100-mile trail race once again delivered an unforgettable edition. Starting in Olympic Valley and finishing in Auburn, runners take on 100 miles (161 km) and more than 5,500 metres of elevation gain through some of the United States’ most iconic landscapes, including the pine forests and deep canyons of the Sierra Nevada. With highly competitive entry requirements, this race remains one of the most prestigious events in trail running.
Among our athletes, Canada’s Marianne Hogan finished third in the women’s race in 15:51:44, followed closely by New Zealand’s Caitlin Fielder, who crossed the line in 15:57:09.
Mont-Blanc Marathon
The attention then moved to Chamonix for the iconic Marathon du Mont-Blanc, where more than 10,000 runners lined up across the event’s various race formats. This year’s edition was marked by extreme weather conditions, forcing organisers to adapt their plans, including the suspension of two races, the Duo Étoilé and the Young Race, due to severe thunderstorms.
Among our ambassadors, Frédéric Tranchand delivered a standout performance in the 42 km race, finishing second in 3:35:46, despite the intense heat that led to several withdrawals throughout the event. Louison Coiffet claimed victory in the 90 km race, crossing the finish line in 9:37:22.
HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB
Created in 2021, this race has quickly established itself as one of the major trail running events in the Pyrenees, becoming an UTMB World Series Major. Runners who complete the corresponding distances (50 km, 100 km, 100 miles) double their chances of securing a spot in the lottery for the UTMB® World Series Finals at the UTMB Mont-Blanc. This year, 6,935 runners took part across the various race formats, with 5,618 crossing the finish line.
As Official Foot Care Partner of the UTMB World Series, our teams were present throughout the event to showcase our solutions. Our goal : help everyone feel comfortable in their shoes, and focused on their performance.
Congratulations to the athletes for their performances, and to the Sidas teams for their passion and energy on the different booths.
As per the last few races, we will continue to be alongside the futur events this season holds and the athletes taking part in it...
