For its third edition, the Bootfitting Congress brought together more than 100 bootfitters from around the world to exchange ideas and progress alongside numerous international experts.

This 2026 edition took place in the exceptional setting of Lech, a ski resort nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps.
This event is one of the highlights of the Sidas Academy. More than just a congress, BFC is a true international hub for expertise, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

By alternating between theory and practice, the BFC enables a concrete transfer of know-how and confirms its commitment to staying at the forefront of technical, biomechanical, and commercial developments in Bootfitting.
This year, the Congress was structured around three main formats:
- Conferences : Expert talks designed to share visions, feedback, and developments in the profession.
- The impact of Bootfitting on the body with Dr. Lutz Graumann and Stephan Riedl - From fit to function: how bootfitting is shaping the future of biomechanics and the personalized ski experience
- The impact of skibootfitting to ski-behaviour with Franz Simmerl and the German Ski Association - To visualise balance, gliding position & more
- Worldwide vision and future of Bootfitting with François Duvillard, Christoph Bründl, Claudia Urschitz and Kevin Palmer - New ways and concepts
- Theory blocks : More educational sessions dedicated to the technical, biomechanical, and methodological fundamentals of bootfitting.
- Biomechanical analysis and assessment of a skier's needs with Jim Lindsay
- Interaction between the tibia and the ski boot with Damien Amblard - The role of the shin plate, power strap, and tongue in flex, performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation
- The challenges of a 360° fitting of a ski touring boot with Massimo Pellizzer and Lorenzo Crosetta, both from Scarpa

A week full of exchanges
From Japan to the United States, via Kazakhstan, participants experienced four intense days, driven by a shared energy: learning, sharing, and moving bootfitting forward together.
